The NBA All-Star Game on Sunday Night: The Five Biggest Winners

The 2022 NBA All-Star Weekend took place on Sunday night in Cleveland, pitting the league's best players against one another. Stephen Curry was named MVP of the 71st NBA All-Star Game after Team LeBron, headed by LeBron James, defeated Team Durant, led by Kevin Durant, for the second consecutive season.

Despite not obtaining the desired result, Giannis Antetokounmpo and Cole Anthony put on a show in Cleveland. Here are the night's big winners.

#1. Stephen Curry

When Stephen Curry takes the stage, move out of the way. Curry was doing Curry things, so he couldn't possibly go wrong. NBA fans betting on Betway were anticipating the event as if it were the NBA final, and it did not disappoint. The league's all-time 3-point leader made more 3s in the first half than any other player in an NBA All-Star Game half. Then he broke the NBA All-Star Game record with 16 three-pointers. Curry was a man with a purpose.

The eventual MVP concluded with a 50-point performance, two points shy of Anthony Davis's 2017 high (52), and added the new Kobe Bryant Trophy to his remarkable collection.

#2. Giannis Antetokounmpo

Nobody has ever approached the Skills Challenge with the same zeal as Giannis Antetokounmpo, the reigning Finals MVP, who had no business participating and acted as if his life depended on the outcome.

Giannis earned eight points in Team Shooting, but what matters more is how he handled a meaningless event in which he is greatly overqualified, such as the NBA Finals. After starting the practice with a 5-pointer, Giannis sped through it.

Giannis acted as if the Bucks had just advanced in the playoffs following the Antetokounmpo Brothers' success in the previous round. He suffered in the relay after that, but attacked it with manic zeal. Even though he lost, Giannis' sympathetic demeanor made a confused, ludicrous spectacle far more enjoyable than it should have been. He was devastated when he got ousted.

#3. Karl-Anthony Towns

His case for being the best shooting big man of all time received an unexpected boost. First, in Round 1 of the three-point challenge, Towns tied Trae Young for 22 points, propelling him to the final round alongside Luke Kennard. Then, just a few minutes later, Towns made an unbelievable 29-point shot—the highest score in the previous round—to become the NBA's first and only three-point champion.

Towns was also the only athlete who didn't have to squat to release each shot. Towns makes swishing threes look effortless.

How did anyone perform in the All-Star Game? Their performance on Saturday night had no bearing on their chances of making an All-NBA team. However, it served as a terrific reminder of how outstanding KAT has been all year.

The season is really not done yet, and you can still place bets on the remaining games with Betway.

#4. Evan Mobley

By flipping in a half-court shot, he won the Skills Challenge on his first try. He's also "truly a unicorn," according to Cavs point guard Darius Garland, which is difficult to disagree!

#5. DJ Khaled

They declared that he would never perform during All-Star Weekend. However, this was his third appearance during All-Star Weekend. For it, Khaled gathered Mary J. Blige, Ludacris, Lil Wayne, Migos, Gunna, and Lil Baby on the same stage. This man was born to triumph.
