Tips On Diet For People With Stomach Diseases

1.Having a balance diet

Research shows that a punctual and regular diet with a certain quantity will form the conditional reaction supporting the secretion of digestive system. Avoid eating too late at night before going to bed for at least 4 hours. No fasting and no overfeeding is useful advice .You should divide meals into several parts so that the stomach always have foods to neutralize the acid.

2.Avoid overfeeding

Do not overfeed because it will stretch the stomach creating more harmful acids. Chewing and swallowing slowly is very good because chewing can increase the secretion of saliva that works to reduce and saturate acids in the stomach. Moreover, eating too fast or too slow will also put pressure on the stomach. If you   poorly chew and fast swallow food when eating, this will cause a burden on the stomach, prolong the retention of food in the stomach so lead to gastric mucosal lesions. Chewing slowly can increase the pancreatic secretion, thereby reduce bile and hydrochloric acid that is very beneficial to the stomach. 

3.Stay away from foods with high acid content

Stay away from acidic foods that damage the gastric mucosa as alcohol, chili, garlic, coffee, tea... Besides, avoid eating foods such as hard foods, parsley, chives, spicy foods which are hard to digest foods. They can stimulate the acid secretion and harm the gastric mucosal.

4.Restrict raw and cold foods

Raw and clod foods have a strong effect on stimulating the gastrointestinal mucosa especially the stomach lining , cause diarrhea or gastroenteritis. Cold water also   affects the nutrient absorption of the body. It also dilutes the gastric juice affecting the digestion. In addition, elderly patients with gastrointestinal dysfunction and decreased cold tolerance should not eat a lot of cold foods to avoid digestive disorders.

 5. Avoid stimulants

Avoid smoking because it causes blood vessels in the abdomen to be shrank .This will affect the blood supply to the stomach lining cells and cause the resistance of the stomach lining decreases. You should also limit alcohol and spicy dishes to ensure the stomach can work best.
