What need to know about Makeup Brush (Part 2)

There are so many differences between some aforementioned brushes in Part 1 of this article. Sadly, they are not all of the face brushes. Some other kinds of facial brush cannot forget to be mentioned are Round Buffing Brush, Stippling  Brush, Angled Blush Brush and Blush Brush. Each of them has its own features and functions which will be listed as follow.

Round Buffing Brush

Round Buffing Brush is a round brush with very dense stiff yet soft bristles. It has a variety of purposes such as applying and blending foundation/concealer/cheek color. It is also used to apply powder foundation or any kinds of setting powder. It is functioned by buffing makeup onto the skin in small circular motions in order to create a flawless and perfectly blended finish. 


Stippling Brush

Stippling Brush is a multi-use product coming in large or small size. It is normally quite long and soft with long and flexible duo fiber bristles and used with a buffing motion, creating small circle with each stroke to blend products. Specifically, it is used to apply liquid or cream foundation, blush or highlighter and to blend concealer, foundation and cheek color for a flawless look.


Angled Blush Brush

Angled Blush Brush is medium sized brush that is dense and round with tapered, angled end that is a perfect shape to define cheek bones. Generally, it is used as a common blush brush but to shape out the hollows of your cheeks. Thus, its detailed functions could be applying blush, bronzer, highlighter; contouring check bones and other features; blending cheek colors. 



Blush Brush

Blush Brush has existed long years ago and become one of the most typical brushes in the makeup tools’ family. It is described as a medium sized rounded brush with soft bristles. Due to its smaller size compared to other kinds of brushes, blush brush allows for precise application and easy blending. Major functions of this brush are to apply and blend out blush, bronzer.



In conclusion, these above facial brushes are typical and most common to use for everyday makeup. Some eyes shadow brushes are not mentioned here due to its detail functions. However, you can easily find all of them from some makeup brand such as Nars, Sephora, Ecotools, Bobbi Brown, MAC and Makeup Forever.
