List of diabetes - friendly fruits

Frustose is a form of sugar appeared in fruits which affects to diabetic. Although eating fruit may effect on blood sugar levels and a certain number of fruits can cause blood sugar spike, but if you consum them in moderation, the following fruit groups may be in the healthy eating plan.


Grape

Each grape contains 1 gram of carbohydrate, which means that every 15 grapes were seen as a serving of fruit. In order to avoid overeating, it is best to count or get a cup of 15 grapes to control intake.

Cherry

Most patients with diabetes are advised not to eat cherries because it will cause blood sugar spikes . However, like grapes, each cherry contains 1 gram of carbohydrate contains. So you can eat cherry like the way you eat grape.

 

 

Mango

An average mango contains about 30 grams of carbohydrates and 26 grams of sugar. If you like eating mango, you should eat about a half of mango. The more mango is ripe, the higher glycemic index is which is able to increase your blood sugar levels. That is the reason why you should be careful when eating mango.

Pineapple

Pineapple tastes delicious, especially when cooked. It is considered the good fruit for diabetic patients. In addition, pineapple is rich in antibacterial and anti-inflammatory subtances which are good for diabetic patiens.

Banana

Amount of carbohydrate in banana is similar to  ¾ cup of blueberries . Therefore, it is best not to eat a large banana but a half one. 

Dried fruits

Dried fruits - especially those kinds are used to sprinkle on yogurt, chocolate which often contain a large amounts of carbohydrates. Two tablespoons of raisins have the same amount of carbohydrates as one cup of raspberries. Therefore, you should substitute fresh fruit in dried fruit to reduce blood glucose level.

Fruit juice

Unless you are suffering from hypoglycemia, you should absolutely avoid fruit juice. A large glass of orange juice  contains about 30 grams of carbohydrate, 30 grams of sugar and there is no fiber. When pennetrating the body, fruit juice rapidly metabolized and can increase blood sugar levels just a few minutes later. 

When you have diabetes, you shouldn’t avoid anything related to sugar because the sugar in fruit is not completely harmful to your health. If you eat with a appropriate serving, it will be benificial to the body.
