4 REASONS WHY YOUR WORKOUT DOESN’T WORK

More and more people believe that if they go to the gym or exercise frequently, they will lose weight. That might be true, for someone. Doing exercise is very good for overall health and helps reduce the risk of heart disease and diabates but if  you are seriously planning for dropping pounds, going on a diet, or in other words, eating less will create the best results!

To know why, discover the four common reasons why exercise can fail you in the quest of losing weight below.

1. The more you work out the more you eat

People do not seem to notice this fact. Though exercise helps to burn calories, it also ends up making people hungrier. According to an expert in nutrition, they will eat almost the same number of calories they burnt during their workout to make up for the lost energy. For this reason, many people feel that they eat better and become healthier but do not want to accept the truth that they did not burn a considerable number of calories. The expert told people who are just beginning with diet not to increase their exercise for at least a month or more until they get used to their weight loss plan.

2. The calories you burn are overestimated

People tend to think that they have expanded large amounts of energy everytime they work out, but in fact, the reality is way more different.

For your information, it just takes 5 minutes to eat 300 calories, but to burn it off, we need about an hour and a half of exercising.

If you wish to get rid of 300 calories a day, there are two options for you: run 3 miles or cut out about 56 grams of potato chips. Which one is easier? For us, reducing food intake is a better way.

Besides, gyms really should post tables that show the amount of activities required to burn common foods people take everyday.

3. Workout makes you move less

After coming back from the gym, people feel like they have accomplished the duty of the day and are too tired to keep on moving. This is understandable because they spent nearly all their energy in the gym. Therefore, instead of taking the stairs, they choose the elevator or they will prefer drive to the store nearby to walk.

In some ways, people end up being less active than before they started the exercise routine.

4. You indulge yourself with foods for working out

Right from the start, you should set up your goals of slimming down very clearly. One must-have rule is not rewarding yourself with foods. You will enjoy a big glass of sugary smoothie to congratulate after making it to a zumba or yoga class? Stop that type of thinking as soon as possible because it will sooner or later defeat your purpose.
