Facebook topped the social networks bringing negative emotions

This is the information given after a very interesting study on the impact of social network on the human mood.

It is not sudden that the social networks become so common. This can be seen as an inevitable trend, when modern science and technology develop to a certain extent, and when people have need of strengthening bonds with the world without losing too much time as before. Social networking giant Facebook is the agent bringing more stress for the Americans than any other social network. However, more surprisingly, this is also one of the social networks having the most positive influence on our mood.

Recently, a provider of voice services called Rebtel surveyed 1,600 US adults about the impact of social networks for them. Answer form includes two options “can not live without it” and “can not live with it,” nearly 20% of those surveyed said Facebook had “the most negative influence” to them, while 20 % also said using Facebook made them stressed.

However, the remaining 60% confirmed Facebook had many good effects. Speaking in a different way, now, Facebook has become an integral part in the lives of so many people. The social experience affects very much your feelings in real life.

Also, according to this study, 45% of participants said that they were extremely hated being tagged in the status and check-in places of others. 70% of them said more clearly that because they did not like having their location publicly on social networks.

Other social networks, LinkedIn, Twitter and YouTube and MySpace have not caused any significant amount of stress. However, in the social network bringing the most positive emotions, we cannot help naming Instagram and Pinterest with respectively only 3% and 1% of respondents complaining that they were uncomfortable to use.

Another interesting point Rebtel offered, one day, if you checked social networks more than normal, it would indicate you were sad and needed to be shared. But, if one day suddenly you log on to less than usual, the majority of the reason is that you are feeling short of something.

This survey can not carry too much academic sense, but, it is enough to confirm one thing: Social network has become a part of our lives. Social networking life still takes place in parallel with real life every day. You need to know how to balance and get the best experience on social networks and still not miss the precious moments with relatives and friends.
