iOS 9.2 update enhances new features

Apple released its software iOS 9.0. Almost three months later, its second major point update was released.

The Music app now lets you create a playlist when adding the first song. The most recently changed playlist is listed at the top whenever users add new songs to a playlist. Therefore users can create a new playlist a lot faster. Users can download albums and playlists from their iCloud Music Library, but custom playlists created on their own device may require Apple’s paid iTunes Match service to let them upload playlists to the iCloud Music Library. If the user downloads a song from their library, a small checkbox now emerges between the song title and the song time length. And now people can finally see songs, composers, and singers while browsing genre that they enjoy in the Apple Music catalogue.

Apple’s News app, which was introduced with iOS 9.0, gained a Top Stories section. iOS 9.2 users will be asked whether they want to add Top Stories to their Favorites or not. And if they have a lot of categories in their Favorites, they will have to scroll down until they find “News Top Stories”. If Apple considers a category the destination section, it will push it up to the top of the list.

Mail Drop was reported to be available during iOS 9’s beta testing, but Apple pulled it out before the final 9.0 release. Now this feature can let you send large file attachments by storing the large file in iCloud instead of attaching it directly to the email. The file does not count against your iCloud storage quota. The attachment stored in iCloud will be eliminated after 30 days.

IPhone 6s or 6s Plus and iBooks now let people use 3D Touch to peek and pop out pages from the table of contents. Users can also listen to an audiobook while performing other activities within the iBook app, they can browser their library, look through the store for a new book, or even read a book.

IOS 9.2 lets users connect Apple’s Lightning to USB Camera Adapter directly to their digital camera to import photos. If they look at the comments section for this product in Apple’s Store, they’ll find the way that has been shared to use this adapter to connect USB microphones or MIDI keyboards.

The iOS 9.2 update also includes a lot of improvements and bug fixes related to Safari, Bluetooth, Wi-Fi, AirDrop, and more, that may satisfy iPhone and iPad users.
